LIVING SCULPTURE

Inspired by the fictive world in THX 1138, the debut film by George Lucas (1971), a living sculpture was designed. No doors* or typical walls were integrated in the design. Focused on a sleek theme, black is used as main color and sandblasted glass as material. Applying the color onto a large dome (roof) forms the typical contrast with the rest of the living environment, which is white. Just like the design itself, the circulation is also tightly aligned. The passage from day to night area and the width of the bathroom create a space for this. The covering of the sculpture provides a safe and secure feeling.
