CREMATORY

The crematorium consists of two different blocks, each with a specific function. The main part, in which the ceremonial services are incorporated, is entirely on the ground floor. Its exterior is white, smooth concrete and allows inward view through only a small amount of windows at the entrance, the auditoriums and the corridor. It also guides visitors back to the outside worldas the circulation towards the exit of the building becomes brighter again.

The second block appears to rest on the mail building. This time, its function includes catching up and unwinding at the coffee table. Although its exterior is dark in nature due to its black colored concrete, it offers much more input of natural light. This is done with a large corner window that becomes visible when you go upstairs. Here, the windows are provided with a blinded effect to offer visitors privacy and still to close themselves off from the outside world in ways other than with concrete walls.
