VRT NWS CONTENT
Since April 2024 I’ve been working as a senior visual creative at VRT NWS, providing content including poster design, social media posts and motion design projects. While some of these are based upon videography and the implementation of graphs, others start as a blank canvas with only raw data and get turned into infographics.
Box covers
With news as core business, not only news journals are provided online. On VRT max, every documentary, livestream and special is also made available to watch. As for all series and films, this content also needs to have their own poster design to be shown as a box cover. My favorite creation so far was the visual used for the election of the US, used not only on this platform, but also in talkshows and our news website.
With almost 500K followers, the VRT NWS Instagram channel is the largest of its kind in Flanders. It has even surpassed the popular NWS NWS NWS channel, which is maintained by another editorial team within the company.
Sliders
No matter the neutral standard of our posts, we are always looking for opportunities and ways to inform our target audience in a playful, yet sleek way. As in this example, well bespoken candidates to become te new pope, were visualized as trading cards to share a quick overview with returning information such as country of birth and age on each slide.
